Let’s go back to a magical time when unironic grunge bands walked the earth, sun-dried tomatoes were in everything, and it took an AOL subscription and five incredibly noisy minutes to check your email. (Assuming your parents weren’t on the phone.)
This emerging world of connectivity required code that could run on all kinds of devices, and Java was 1995’s answer.
Java is now used just about everywhere, from web applications, to gaming consoles, mobile phones, automobiles, and roughly a billion other things.
Not only are companies using Java in new ways, but at this point there are decades worth of legacy applications, softwares, and products that depend on Java. Who will keep this world of interconnected devices running smoothly? What brave hero will answer the call? The Java Developer, that’s who.

The 16-week Java Software Engineering course is designed to teach you how to use the programming language Java as well as other languages to become a software engineer.
You will learn about software engineering and how to use Java. On completion, you will receive a certificate of completion, have projects you created for your portfolio, and be ready to pursue jr. software engineering positions in the tech industry.

What Does Remote Learning Look Like?
When taught remotely, Java Software Engineering is a course that’s designed to be as close to in-person as possible without being on-campus. There is live instruction, instructor interaction, the ability to ask questions, and a way to work on projects with peers. You’ll just be at home.
The first half of the program will be a shared experience with students from all courses. Then, each specialization will split into their respective cohort to learn about their specific area of expertise and build portfolio projects with that skill set.
