10 Weeks of Software QA Training
Our 10-week Online Software Quality Assurance (QA) bootcamp prepares students with everything they need to get their quality assurance certification. DevMountain empowers people by giving them the skills they need to start a career in software QA.
This online course consists of lectures, practice problems, individual and group projects, and real projects with corporate clients. Students work collaboratively with the lead instructor and mentors throughout the course until they become comfortable tackling new technologies in a fast-moving and ever-changing industry.

Established QA engineers, alumni, and industry experts are available to students throughout DevMountain’s QA Online Course. Students often lean on mentors to help understand concepts, or receive guidance through projects.

QA Student Schedule
Students must complete four modules to finish the Software QA Online Course. Each module includes five lessons that include:
Reviews and exercises from previous lessons that strengthen concepts and skills.
Pre-recorded lectures from DevMountain’s lead QA instructor. Students learn key objectives through guided practice, discussions, presentations, and activities.
Each lesson is paired with practice problems so students can practices what they are learning. During this time, students have access to mentors. Questions can be asked at any time, but there will be set hours for guaranteed availability.
Students are assigned a project at the end of each module. These projects are often real-world projects. Mentors will be available to help.

What You'll Learn
Git & Github
Git has its own jargon, best practices, and workflows. Students learn these tactics, as it is crucial in securing, protecting and archiving code.
Creating tests is an integral part of quality assurance. Students learn the various techniques used to expose application weaknesses.
Students learn how to create and run effective unit tests. This allows you to quickly find bugs in software.
During the course, students learn how to create automated tests using Selenium and NightwatchJS. These testing automation applications are essential for quality assurance certification.
Sometimes called stress testing, this kind of software testing training allows you to assess how an application behaves when placed under different levels of demand. We’ll go over this in the course.
Students learn what a REST API is and how to create tests of performance, functionality, reliability, safety and security using Postman and SOAP.
Agile is one of the most common development cycle methodologies. We teach students about backlogs, scrums, sprints and how testing fits into the software development cycle.
