How Hard Is Devmountain?

How Hard Is Devmountain?

Let’s start with an understanding. Devmountain is a development and design bootcamp that was founded in 2013 in order to teach people code (and other tech-related skills) quickly, preparing them to pursue an entry-level job in the world of technology within a matter of months. But, that doesn’t mean Devmountain’s a shortcut, and it certainly doesn’t mean Devmountain’s easy. Quite the opposite, in fact. After all, it’s called a bootcamp for a reason. Yes, Devmountain is hard. But, people are rising to the challenge every day, and you could be one of those people, too.

How Challenging is Devmountain?

How Challenging is Devmountain?

To put it simply, Devmountain is an extremely challenging experience because of the level of commitment and dedication students have to have to see their program through to the end. If you decide to attend one of our immersive programs, you will be working on development or design on a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for thirteen weeks.

During the duration of your program, you will have to sacrifice a lot in order to keep up with new material, personal projects, job preparation, and group projects. Immersive students must quit their jobs in order to have enough time to do everything Devmountain demands of them. That being said, we do include housing at no extra cost for immersive students: a valuable perk.

Put another way, you will not be coasting through any of our programs. There will be no free tickets or easy passes. You will have to work tirelessly while enrolled at Devmountain. But, we do offer a supportive and structured environment for students to succeed. Our instructors and mentors are here for you. Our Career Support team is here for you. And, we have a fantastic alumni network. Even your like-minded peers can be a great asset on your journey.

How Rewarding is Devmountain?

How Rewarding is Devmountain?

That might be the better question. Will you get your dream job straight out of Devmountain? Extremely unlikely. Will you have a new chance to pursue a career you’re passionate about with a workable skillset and Career Support team to back you up? Yes. At the end of the day, you’ve got to work hard during your program and during your job hunt to have a truly rewarding experience. Those students who put in the effort and communicate throughout with their instructors and the Career Support team have the best chance of making the change they’ve always wanted to make.

Any rewarding experiences you have in connection with Devmountain will be yours to claim. We’re just here to provide a supportive community and structured foundation for you to succeed. After all, you could have rewarding experiences after getting a 4-year computer science degree, too. The 13-week bootcamp experience may be a fit for you, too. Or not. We won’t judge.

If you really have questions about how rewarding Devmountain could be for you, we recommend calling our admissions team. They can give you a better understanding of Devmountain as it pertains to your unique situation. And, they can help you find answers to other questions about Devmountain scholarships, financing options, and much more.
