People attend Devmountain because they either want to break into the tech industry or because they want to take their career to the next level in some way. That’s true whether you choose to attend our Lehi, Utah campus or the Dallas, Texas campus.

In honor of our two primary campuses, we release this list that highlights the top tech companies in the area.
And this year is no different.

Here are the Top Tech Companies in Dallas, Texas in 2022.

Alkami

Alkami

As one of Inc’s 5000 fastest growing companies, Alkami has hit the sweet spot of great work and a great company culture. The company’s 275 employees — including a number of Devmountain graduates — enjoy a full benefits package, free catered lunch every day, and free employee stock, making it easily one of the top software companies to work for. It’s easy to see how Alkami attracts the best and brightest employees and manages to hold on to them. Knowing that, it’s not hard to see why Alkami is listed with the top software companies in Dallas.

Stack Sports

Blue Star Sports

Another Jerry Jones backed company, Stack Sports helps youth programs across the country with the software they need to succeed. Stack Sports describes team members as “high energy” and the company as a great place to build a career in technology and sports. With hundreds of employees and the acquisition of 19 other companies, Stack Sports provides plenty of opportunities to get in at the ground level and grow.

Dialexa

Dialexa

An award-winning tech research and design firm that is one of many IT companies in Dallas, Dialexa also has a near-perfect rating on Glassdoor. The company describes the environment as “exciting but challenging” and offers employees free snacks, drinks, and ice cream, as well as any technology request you want — “even if you need 12 mounted computer screens on your desk.” In an office that is designed with custom furnishings and a culture that is defined by intellectual curiosity, employees love working at Dialexa.

Lifeblue

Lifeblue

Lifeblue is a digital agency that prides itself on an intimate culture and a team that loves the company and is dedicated to the creative work that they do. That work has resulted in the company being nominated for a Webby Award, but the company mission extends beyond simply getting results. Lifeblue has a campaign to end poverty and hunger through writing code, meaning employees really get to make a difference with the company. Add to that their impressive benefits package and you have a pretty great place to work among the many Dallas tech companies.

Oculus

Oculus

What started as a Kickstarter soon developed and blew up into one of the top companies to work for in Dallas, once it was acquired by Facebook. As it’s now Facebook’s VR arm, you can expect a Facebook style culture at these Dallas headquarters. That includes flexible working hours, free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, full benefits, parties and events, and family-oriented work policies. Oculus employees also get to enjoy free access to the latest Oculus prototypes and free products. When it comes to positive company culture, the proof is in the pudding.

ParkHub

ParkHub

Originally among the many start-ups in Dallas, ParkHub now comes with some major acclaim behind it. It’s a system that facilitates paid parking for parking operators and at large events. After participating in their first Super Bowl in 2011, ParkHub fielded a wide range of offers and has since made deals with TicketMaster, Live Nation, and the Dallas Cowboys, among other notable sports stadiums. Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is a major investor. Winner of the 2017 Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award, ParkHub has a good working atmosphere and (most importantly) is dog friendly, which is not something that can be said of all companies based in Dallas.

RewardStyle

RewardStyle

RewardStyle allows social influencers to earn money for product promotion in the fashion space. In its first year alone, it drove more than $60 million in fashion sales, so it’s safe to say that this business is booming. RewardStyle has been name as one of the 50 Most Innovative Companies in the World by Fast Company, and is looking for employees who reflect that mentality. They have more than 200 employees across the world, including London, Shanghai, Sao Paulo, and of course Dallas.

The Marketing Arm

The Marketing Arm

You’ll no doubt recognize a number of The Marketing Arm’s award-winning marketing campaigns, but it is not just the work that has this company winning awards — it has also been named as one of the “Best Places to Work” by Workplace Dynamics. That is no doubt thanks to the cocktail competitions, regular “mistake” day parties, and many holiday parties, as well as the pride that the company takes in employee growth and development that, together, make this clearly one of the top places to work in Dallas.

Topgolf

Topgolf

This international chain has its headquarters in Dallas, and while it’s a fun place to go, it’s an even better place to work. What’s more, they’ve got the awards to prove it, having won a few dozen for employee engagement and culture over the past few years alone — including five “Best Place to Work” awards. What makes Topgolf such a great place to work? For one, they have a pretty great office setup, with a full entertainment center, wine fridge and rack, table tennis, foosball, dart boards, games consoles, and TVs throughout. This fun extends into the culture, and even the interview process, as Topgolf eschews the regular interview process, instead holding regular relaxed “recruitment events.” There is no question as to why this is one of the coolest companies to work for in Dallas.

Match Group

Match

Match Group, owners of Match, Tinder, Plenty Of Fish, OkCupid, Hinge, and other dating apps are also based out of Dallas Texas. Not only do they offer your typical benefits but they also offer benefits such as fertility preservation, meditation services, local holidays, parental leave, bereavement leave, and birthdays off. If you want to use your tech skills to help people form more intimate connections with one another, you may want to try swiping right on any possible job openings with the Match Group.

Neiman Marcus

Yes, that Neiman Marcus. We don’t really need to introduce this company, but we will just take a minute to remind everyone that the Neiman Marcus brands include such companies as Bergdorf Goodman, Last Call, and Horchow. Since the Neiman Marcus Group has over 9,000 retail locations, they employ a large number of tech employees to make sure that their entire operation is running smoothly, whether that’s their online business, their retail locations’ digital needs, or their internal tech processes.

American Express

American Express is another major company that has a large team working out of Dallas, Texas. Ranked as one of the best workplaces for women, diversity, and corporate equality, it’s no wonder we’ve added them to our Best Of list. American Express is a massive company that needs a lot of tech workers to make their business run properly. If you’re in the Dallas area, keep an eye out for openings here.
